Navara vs Frontier

The Navara and Frontier are Nissan’s mid-size pickups. The Navara is the global version (often diesel), sold new in Nigeria through Nissan dealers. The Frontier is the US version (petrol V6). They share a lot of engineering but differ in engines and equipment.

Nissan Titan

The Titan is Nissan’s full-size pickup with a 5.6L V8 (about 400 hp). Nissan ended Titan production in 2024. It competes with the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado and Toyota Tundra.

Nissan Pickups vs Rivals

The Navara competes with the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger (see Ford truck prices). The Hilux resells best; the Navara often comes with more comfort for the money.

Buying Tips

  1. Check the frame and leaf springs for heavy-load damage.
  2. For diesel Navaras, check injectors and service history.
  3. On 2005–2010 Frontiers, check for radiator coolant leaking into the gearbox.
  4. Business use? Make sure your insurance covers it: car insurance in Nigeria.
