| Years | Generation | Condition | Estimated price |
|---|---|---|---|

| 2008–2012 | 2nd gen (5.7L V8) | Tokunbo | ₦18m – ₦30m |
| 2013–2017 | 2nd gen | Tokunbo | ₦30m – ₦50m |
| 2018–2022 | 2nd gen facelift | Tokunbo | ₦55m – ₦90m |

The Sequoia is Toyota’s full-size, three-row SUV, built on the same frame as the Toyota Tundra pickup. It seats seven or eight adults in genuine comfort and is popular in Nigeria with large families, churches, executives and security convoys because it is big, tough and simpler to maintain than many European rivals.
The 5.7L V8 is thirsty: expect roughly 5–6 km per litre in Lagos or Abuja traffic. At current petrol prices that is a serious monthly bill, so budget for it. The hybrid V6 is better at around 8–9 km per litre. Parts for the V8 are widely available because the engine is shared with the Tundra and Land Cruiser.
Buyers usually compare it with the Toyota Land Cruiser (more prestige and resale, much higher price), the Lexus LX 570, the Ford Expedition and the Nissan Patrol and Armada. The Sequoia gives you Land Cruiser-like size for far less money.
About ₦8m–₦14m Nigerian used, ₦18m–₦90m Tokunbo depending on year, and ₦150m+ for the 2023+ hybrid.
Yes. It is a full-size, body-on-frame SUV, much larger and tougher than the Toyota Highlander.
A 2013–2017 Tokunbo model gives the best balance of price, reliability and features.
